Over the last week or so, the boys had been talking more and more in the car about having a lemonade stand.
I could hear them chatting in the third row about selling lemonade. Making money. Sharing.
So this weekend, it was a no brainer.
We started with the preparations. Of which there were many.
The sign. Painted with chalkboard paint…
Aston got the honors of writing on the sign. We decided 50 cents was reasonable.
Jack got to write on the sign that would then be attached to the table.
We set up shop, and of course the taste testing began!
They jumped around and cheered every time a car drove by.
It was hard watching cars just drive by at first.
The boys couldn’t understand why the people were smiling and waving, but not stopping.
But quickly their faces of disappointment turned into pure joy, as they got into an absolute roll!
We sold four jugs of lemonade, and then the kids were spent. But still had energy to count their money!
I divied up the $42 (yes. 42.) into envelopes, and then everyone put their money in their piggy banks. Or wallets.
what an amazing post! I may just link to it...love seeing all the details i was not involved in. most memorable photos include aston jumping in front of jacks neatly written table sign (so typical), aston kissing jacks ear:), kings and A...so cute!, the 2 boys grinning big behind the table, counting the money so diligently, and the envelops with all their names! Ash...this really was an amazing day! Thanks for making it all happen so awesomely! Feel like they learned some stuff on top of it all. brilliant...now aston can buy lylee her diamond...with all his earnings in his "wallet"
