Kingsley had been looking forward to this day for weeks!
The Fresh Beat Band.
In real life.
Every time they would come on TV, she’d ask “like that? But in real life?!”.
I actually was a little surprised by how excited she was. And by her knowledge of each of the band mates.
I had no idea that she knew each of their names, and what they wear. Apparently her favorite is Marina. She likes her aqua dress.
She also LOVED the dress that Ms. Kate had made for her. She especially loved practicing her dance moves before we left…
Jack tried to get in on the pre-concert dancing, but the kid moved so fast, it was hard to capture him!
We were told cameras were not allowed inside the concert, so the last pictures were of these two in the parking lot. So cute.
The look of anticipation on Kingsley’s face while we waited for the concert to begin will be forever ingrained in my mind.
It. Was. Priceless.
As they finally took the stage, she jumped up and down, started yelling and clapping, and I may have gotten a little teary.
But I was just so happy for her for so many reasons.
Just for her excitement and joy.
And to see her totally let loose and have fun, despite the MANY (probably too many) people around her.
For the first time in a long time, she didn’t care if anyone was looking at her. And it was wonderful. Kate looked over at me halfway through and mouthed “who is that girl?”.
I was thinking the same.
Just. So. Much. Fun.
love this! leave it to twist and shout to bring out the best in everyone! loved that yall were there!
