First Day of School!

First day of school for everyone!!

The girls both had their staggered entry today, so it was nice that all of their first days were the same!

The morning was easier than expected…everyone was SO excited to get up and going.

Can’t believe she’s off to Kindergarten!

So, so thankful it’s not a full day.

2nd Grade?!!  Geesh…

Jack started an hour earlier than the girls, so that gave us a little extra time to hang out.

Brinks cried on our way to Latin.

I was the first moment she realized the other two would be together.  And she’d be “alone”.

My heart broke for her.

But clearly…she recovered quickly!

Love these girls!  They’re such great playmates…I know Brinks will be eagerly waiting for Kingsley to get home everyday.

And so will I.

Pool Day

Mannn we’re missing the beach!

But we’re definitely thankful to have the pool to cool off!

Brinks meets her teachers

This morning was meet-the-teacher at Ivybrook.

Brinks was SO excited to check out her new classroom and the big playground that comes with it!

Jack and Kingsley were equally excited to check it out with her.

Ms. Colleen will be her teacher again this year, so that {combined with Hippo} has her already feeling comfortable.

After we played in the classroom for awhile {all three made me lots of “meals” in the kitchen}

we went outside and spent a ton of time playing on the “boat”.

It was such fun that J & K were just as excited and involved in the imaginative play as Brinks.

All three cousins showed up to help make the morning a ton of fun!

So sweet to have these two together after spending the summer apart!

{Realized afterwards I didn’t take one picture of the teachers & Brinks.  Hopefully that’s soon-to-come!}

Friends for Life

Heather and Doscher became our dear friends this summer for many reasons.

Not just for their swings.  Or headstands.  Or Jojo.

For our shared love of the beach.  Mattapoisett.  Family.

Watching them spend days on end together made me excited for the future with my girls.

Confident that we will enjoy each other’s company when we are older just as much as we do now.

Hopefully love will radiate from us as it does with them.
