Our big girl got a big girl bed today!  Think she looks excited?!

Christmas Morning

We awoke to Jack’s sweet voice yelling as he ran down the stairs: “Mommy, Mommy…come quick!  Santa came!!  Santa came!!”

Though we had all intentions of keeping up with the tradition of opening one present before pancake breakfast, and then opening presents one at a time thereafter…it

seemed like once the kids started they couldn’t stop.  Kingsley was most excited about her Barbie guitar, Jack about his dragon castle, and Brinkley about eating pancakes!

ride a bike!

The true sign of a well-rounded little girl: learning to ride a bike, while still dressed in ballet clothes and sporting a pirate patch!  Love her.

Today parents were allowed inside the ballet room to watch and take pictures, which only happens twice a year.  Ordinarily parents stay outside the room and occasionally can sneak a peek through a curtained window, so needless to say this was a special occasion.  It was SO fun to watch Kingsley listening and participating, and most important having an absolute ball.

           

Changing shoes from tap to ballet…there’s something so sweet about her slipping those little shoes into her bag.

It’s a wrap…

My hunt for our 2011 Christmas card has come to an end.  The order has been placed, and it’s now just a waiting game until they arrive in the mail, which will hopefully be early next week.  Pictures from today did not make any of the three in the card, but figured I’d put a couple of them on here.  The kids were SUCH troopers throughout every attempt to capture the perfect shot, putting on their very best smiles for the camera.  I realized that there was no way to get all of them looking their absolute best in one picture, and I also realized that that’s not the end of the world. I love our card, I love our pictures,

Sisterly Love

The girls found a game to play with each other today, that suited each of them perfectly…

Kingsley loves sitting in her doll stroller, and Brinkley loves pushing things.  I don’t know who started it.

All I know is that finding them playing together and laughing together absolutely made my day.
