Opening game!

After a few game cancellations due to rain, the boys FINALLY had their opening game for the season.  They were PUMPED!!!  This year is a big change from last year because it’s coach pitch, so the first five attempts are off a thrown ball vs. the tee.

Jack stepped up to bat…

Swung.  A couple times…

And hit the ball!!! Well!

And ran his little heart out to first base!

And then waited patiently for his teammates to hit so he could run the rest of the bases.

Christopher had his turn too!

As always, Kingsley was such a good girl watching her brother.  Such a trooper!

The end of an era

I’ve been putting this one off for awhile, but after months of begging…what’s a mother to do?

Pleeeeease Mommy…can I cut my hair like Daddy?  Pleeeease?  I wanna see my whole forehead.  And have it stick up.  Like this. Pleeeease???

I fought it for as long as I could.  Showed him pictures of Daddy as a boy – a little boy AND a “big” boy – always sporting long hair.  No luck. So…

The before:

The after:

God I’ll miss that hair.  But he’s happy.  And I guess that’s all that matters.

Dance lessons

Kingsley sat out her “babies” and Yaya to give them their own dance lesson right when she got home from ballet today:

Making people

Kingsley has just learned how to draw people.  They’re just about the cutest things I’ve ever seen.  And she’s SO proud.  She draws them at home, school, just about anywhere.  Her teachers wrote a note home today saying “Kingsley was proud of the picture she drew today – so were we…definitely a person!  She was telling us what everything was as she drew everything!”
