For her third birthday, Kingsley asked for ballet. So…as her birthday is fast approaching, we signed her up for ballet classes. Today was her first class, and she was BEYOND excited to get dressed in her attire. I must say – I might have been just as excited about it as her – I just about melted seeing her with her bun and all. Just too cute. Here are a few shots of her before we headed out the door…

Do I see a Christmas card in the making?
Amanda sent over a sneak peak of one of the pictures from Jack’s 5th birthday party. Thinking this may be it folks, especially since Brinkley wiped out today, cutting up the side of her face pretty well!

Tree decorating
After getting our tree home, Jack was really excited to help decorate it. (Kingsley was more interested in staying in the playroom to play with Uncle Eric). John and I put the lights on, and then Jack put on almost all of the ornaments. Majority of them were cluttered together on one side of the tree – I held back from moving them, because to my sweet boy…the tree looked just perfect.

Choose and cut
This morning we headed out to a small tree farm outside of Blowing rock in search of the perfect Christmas tree. The trees were beautiful, and so was the weather. The kids LOVED running through the rows of trees, trying to jump from every shot I attempted to take of them. I did – to no surprise – grab a few shots of everyone…
I could just eat him – looking so little among all the trees, and having an absolute blast running as fast as he could up and down through them…

Cookie Decorating and Carriage Rides
The kids LOVED decorating Christmas cookies at Chetola Lodge. Santa was there, but they forwent their visit in order to make time for cookies. Jack took his VERY seriously, and spent more time decorating than eating. This was definitely the highlight of their weekend.
After decorating, it was time to head out for our carriage rides. Poor Brinkley was pooped by the time we started moving, so she slept in my arms (wish I had a shot of her sweet little face!). The other girls snuggled up in Uncle Eric’s arms, which he was more than delighted by.
Can you tell the boys were DONE having their pictures taken?
