Kingsley at 20.5 months
Kingsley...you are sweet - so sweet. You LOVE your bear YaYa, as you have for awhile now. You sleep with her every night, and wouldn't think about leaving her in your crib once . She's never too far away. And your baby doll "Baby" - you LOVE that baby. You rock with her, rub her head, feed her while she sits next to you in your highchair, kiss her boo-boos, take her for walks and read her books. I lose count how many times per day you ask "Baby wah" (your way of saying you want to take her for a walk); you LOVE pushing her in her stroller and telling me that she's fallen asleep: "Baby nigh-nigh".
You are funny.
You love pressing buttons, jumping on the bed, playing with the phone, and bubbles. You ask for them all the time - 'buhbuh'.
You're talking a lot, and are at that phase when some words come out so stinkin cute that I hate to imagine you not saying them that way. Like 'sorry' - just the way you say it is hysterical. Or like 'more', which you REALLY mean every time you say it - can't you just hear yourself saying 'mowh!!!' in this picture? You LOVE to dance. You can't really say 'dance' or 'music' (you try, but it comes out a lot like how you say monkey - 'muhmuh'), so you just shake your head back and forth as your way of signing the word dance. Too cute! I love watching you shake that little tush and showing you different moves that you try to copy. You are independent and can occupy yourself for long periods of time, for which I'm grateful.
You are tough. Really tough. You like to point out booboos, and you like bandaids like every other kid, but there are so many times that I would expect you to cry and you don't.
You love going on walks and being outside. If we could spend all day in the stroller, in your car, on the swings, blowing bubbles, or anything else out of the house you'd be thrilled.
You are at SUCH a fun age!!!

Make way Dinosaurs....Mommy's Coming?!
It seems that Jack's dinosaur phase, which at times seemed like it would last forever, is coming to an end. It's been replaced. By mommyhood. He is now the proud mother of 5 - yes 5 - babies, which he totes around the house all day. Sometimes he's a Kangaroo that births (and carries) her babies in his pajama shirt.
What I also know is that those babies will be with him as he walks down from his room after sleeping, whether that be at 7 or 4am, and those babies will be with him while he watches TV, and those babies will be with him while he has breakfast. Those babies - comprised of two pink teddy bears, 1 small brown bear, 1 alligator and of course Teddy - will pretty much be with him wherever he goes throughout the house.
Sometimes he's a dinosaur who needs to hunt food for his babies. Sometimes I'm not sure what he is, but what I do know is that he usually needs to be naked and go into his 'home' (ie a tent I've made on the couch for him) or his nest (the leather chair in our family room).

Labor Day
We spent Labor Day weekend with Mimi, Papa and Uncle Eric at the beach...the perfect way to say goodbye to summer! No, summer doesn't technically end for another two weeks or so, but somehow Labor Day always feels like the end. And - when you add in that this will probably be our last visit to the beach this year (with the baby's birth rapidly approaching) - it definitely feels like summer's over.

Jack says...
FUNNY
From the backseat of the car as we drive up to the window at McDonald's:
"I want a number one with a sherley temple."
SAD
When I told him Finn the fish got very sick and went to heaven:
(as tears streamed out from both eyes) "But I'll never see him again." and "There's no water in Heaven. He can't breather". and "Tomorrow I wanna go to the store and buy another fish and name him."
SWEET
As I put him to bed (after reading books and laying with him for a few minutes):
"This how many kisses I want you to give me." (as he holds up all 10 fingers)
